CJ-3A (1949-1953), M38 (1950-1952), CJ-3B (1953-1964). Each vehicle requires 4 U-bolts for the front suspension: 1 large (right-hand side) and 3 standard (2 left-hand side, 1 right-hand side).
Installation notes
Secures the leaf spring to the front axle. Note: this large U-bolt is installed on the right-hand side (passenger side) of the front axle. Combine with three standard U-bolts for complete front assembly. Tighten in a cross pattern with correct torque to prevent deformation of the spring plate.
Compatibility
Specific to CJ-3A, M38 and CJ-3B. Not suitable for M38A1 (too short for that model). Fits both 8-leaf and 9-leaf springs. Inner diameter approximately 2-5/16 inch (58-60mm) for standard front axle.
