★ This is an original NOS spring shackle, manufactured to authentic military specifications. For a complete set, 4 spring shackles are required: 2x WO802061 (left-/right-hand thread) and 2x WO802062 (both right-hand thread).
Application
This spring shackle is fitted to the front left and rear right of the vehicle. The combination of left- and right-hand thread prevents loosening due to spring movements during driving. For the front right and rear left, WO802062 (with two right-hand thread bushings) is required.
Installation notes
The spring shackle is screwed into the spring eye (left-hand thread) and on the other side into the frame bracket (right-hand thread). Important: the thread of the bushing 'bites' into the metal of the spring eye — springs themselves are not threaded. Apply grease to both sides for correct lubrication. Allow a minimum clearance of 0.8 mm between bushing and U-bolt.
Compatibility
Fits all vehicles in the categories: front and rear suspension of the models in the range. Note: this article has left- AND right-hand thread and fits ONLY front left and rear right. For the other corners (front right, rear left), part number WO802062 with two right-hand thread bushings is required.
Historical context
The combination of left- and right-hand thread was originally applied to prevent loosening due to spring movements — the same principle as for the wheel hubs on the left side of the vehicle.
