Reproduction front leaf spring with 8 leaves, suitable for various military and civilian Willys models. Replaces original Willys part numbers A-612 (left) and A-613 (right). Measures 36¼" (92 cm) eye to eye and is supplied with pressed-in bushings at both ends.

Type 8-leaf leaf spring |
Dimensions 36¼" eye to eye (approx. 92 cm) |

Original part number A-612 (left) / A-613 (right) |
Supply Per piece (2 pieces required per vehicle) |
Features
- 8-leaf construction for standard load
- Pressed-in bronze bushings in both eyes
- Correct camber arch for proper ride height
- Black painted finish
- Reinforced construction replaces worn originals
★ This replacement spring restores the original ride height after years of wear. When fitting new springs, an increase of approximately 2.5–4 cm is achieved compared to sagged, old springs — this is normal and returns the vehicle to factory height.
Application
The original Willys MB had different front springs for left (A-612, stiffer) and right (A-613) due to the engine offset. In most modern reproductions, this difference no longer exists. Suitable for vehicles with 8-leaf standard specification; for heavy-duty applications (winch, off-road) a 10-leaf heavy-duty variant is also available.
Installation notes
Supplied without shackles, U-bolts and mounting hardware — these must be ordered separately (part numbers 802061/802062 for shackles, 384228 for pivot eye bolt, 359039 for pivot eye bushing). Recommended to replace springs in pairs for even suspension. Check condition of rubber bump stops and shock absorbers during fitting.
Compatibility
Fits various models within the category in which this product is classified. Note: rear leaf springs (A-614, 9-leaf, 42" eye to eye) are different and NOT interchangeable with front springs. For Willys Pickup and Station Wagon, different specifications exist.
Historical context
The original front springs for WWII Willys MB and Ford GPW were manufactured by Mather Spring Company. Early MBs had standard 8-leaf springs; later a 10-leaf heavy-duty version was also introduced for vehicles with winch or heavier front load.
