★ Reproduction of original starter motor support bracket. Manufactured to original specifications with correct thread and angle.

Application

Fits Willys MB (1941-1945), Ford GPW (1941-1945) and CJ-2A (1946-1949) equipped with MZ-4113 type starter motors. Suitable for both 6V and 12V conversions.

Installation notes

The bracket has one threaded hole for attachment to the starter motor and one through-hole for attachment to the engine block. Note the correct angle during installation — the bracket is pre-bent. First mount the starter motor with the two main bolts to the flywheel housing, then fit this support bracket as the third support point.

Compatibility

Specific to starter motors with rear support tab such as the Auto-Lite MZ-4113. Not compatible with later starter motors without support tab. The bracket fits all L-134 engines in Willys MB, Ford GPW and early CJ models.

Historical context

This support bracket was an essential component of the electric starting system on the Willys MB and Ford GPW from 1941 onwards. The bracket prevents the starter motor from rotating under load and ensures correct alignment with the flywheel.
