  • Suitable for early to mid-war production (1941-1943)
  • Set of 2 pieces
  • Historically correct detailing for authentic restoration

★ Authentic reproduction with the correct C manufacturer marking as used on early Willys MBs. Essential for a period-correct restoration of the fuel system.

Application

These bolts were used for mounting the AC-type fuel filter to the firewall of Willys MB Slat Grille (November 1941 - March 1942, serial numbers approx. 100001-125808) and early to mid-war Willys MB (until end of 1944). The firewall-mounted filter system was replaced in 1944 by an in-tank ceramic filter system.

Installation notes

The two bolts secure the AC fuel filter housing to the pre-drilled holes in the firewall on the passenger side. Note: early slat grille jeeps (before serial number approx. 120697) had no glovebox and the fuel filter was located at the same position where the glovebox was later fitted.

Compatibility

Only suitable for Willys MB and Ford GPW with the original firewall-mounted fuel filter system (production until mid-1944). NOT suitable for late 1944-1945 models that have the direct fuel line system with in-tank filter. The C marking is historically correct for early production; later jeeps more commonly had EC, AA, or TR marked bolts.

Historical context

The C marking on the bolt head represents the manufacturer who supplied these bolts to Willys-Overland during early war production. Willys MBs had a mixture of different bolt markings (A, AA, C, TR, EC) depending on which supplier was delivering bolts to the assembly line at that time.
