Application
Suitable for jeeps with 134ci L-head or F-head engines converted to 12V system. Fits IAD distributors (Auto-Lite) and similar Ducellier and Prestolite distributors with baseplate secured by two side screws. Works exclusively on 12V negative earth.
Installation notes
Remove distributor cap and rotor. Unscrew the two side screws securing the points plate. Remove the old points plate with condenser. Fit the electronic plate (terminals supplied separately for easy passage through side hole). Connect red wire to coil + terminal, black wire to coil - terminal. Check timing after fitting with strobe lamp according to TM10-1349. Installation takes approximately 15 minutes.
Compatibility
Important: ONLY for 12V systems with negative earth. Does NOT work on original 6V systems. Requires distributor with baseplate having two vertical fixing screws through side of distributor body. Check that your coil is suitable for 12V (2.5-4.5 Ohm primary winding). If voltage exceeds 13.9V at coil: ballast resistor of 1.7 Ohm required between coil + and red wire of module.
