★ High-quality replacement glass for authentic restorations of Dodge closed cab vehicles. Note: sold individually, also order the right half for a complete windscreen.

Application

Suitable for Dodge WC closed cab models: WC-1, WC-12, WC-40 (closed cab weapons carrier), WC-5, WC-14 (closed cab pickup), WC-9, WC-18, WC-27 (ambulance), WC-10, WC-17, WC-26 (carryall) and related closed cab versions from the period 1941-1945. Fits windscreens with side hinges that swing outwards, as standard on closed cab models.

Installation notes

This glass fits in the windscreen frame that is attached to the cab with hinges on both sides. The windscreen of closed cab Dodge WC models folds outwards, comparable to a jeep construction. Check the condition of the rubber seal and frame before fitting. Note: sold individually, left half (driver's side). Right half must be ordered separately.

Compatibility

ONLY for closed cab models. Does NOT fit open cab variants (WC-3, WC-13, WC-21, WC-22, WC-23, etc.) which have a different windscreen system. Also does NOT fit the later 3/4 ton WC-51/52 models with flat grille - these have a different type of windscreen. Suitable for early WC models (1941-1945) with closed cab and folding windscreen.

Historical context

The closed cab Dodge WC vehicles were produced from 1941 for various military roles such as ambulances, carryalls and weapons carriers. Unlike the later open cab models, these had a fully enclosed cab with an outward-opening windscreen, a construction that provided protection against weather conditions during transport and communication duties.
