The door is fitted into the marker light housing. The rubber gasket must be placed between the door and housing for correct sealing. The tabs on the inside of the door must be carefully bent over to hold the lens in place. Work carefully to prevent breaking the tabs.

WARNING: This door fits ONLY marker lights produced for Ford GPW and Ford GPA vehicles. The door does NOT fit:

Historical context
The blackout marker lights (cat's eye lights) of the Ford GPW were originally produced by Hall Lamp Company, a division of Guide Lamp. Ford GPA amphibious jeeps used the same marker lights as the GPW, part of the parts commonality between both Ford vehicles.
