Bridge Classification Plate — Set with mounting hardware and stencil
Original-style weight classification plate ('bridge plate') as used on WWII military jeeps. This yellow round plate with black number '2' indicated at a glance to military police and bridge guards whether a vehicle could safely cross a bridge. The number 2 corresponds to the standard weight class for a 1/4-ton jeep without trailer.

★ The bridge classification plate was a mandatory marking from 1942-1943 and was usually mounted on the grille below the right headlamp or on the right mudguard, so that it was clearly visible to bridge guards and MPs during convoy movements.
