Installation notes
The bracket is mounted on the inside of the wheel well, between the two mounting pins of the lock mechanism and the body. Bolt through bracket and lock arms into the body. Reinforces the assembly and prevents flexing of the thin body panels.
Compatibility
Exclusive to Ford GPW with early Ford body (until approx. 1943). Not compatible with Willys MB (which have no bridge bracket). Not required on later ACM composite bodies (Jan. 1944 onwards) — these have reinforced lock mounting without bridge.
