Application
Suitable for: Dodge WC 1/2 Ton 4x4 (1941-1942) including models WC1 through WC43; Dodge WC 3/4 Ton 4x4 (1942-1945) including WC51, WC52, WC53, WC54, WC56, WC57, WC58, WC62, WC63. Installation notes
Ensure both ends are properly secured: one end screws onto the rear of the speedometer, the other end connects to the transmission. Follow the original routing path along the frame and avoid sharp bends to prevent breakage of the inner core. For new cables, it is advisable to lightly lubricate the inner core with lithium grease for smooth operation.
Compatibility
Please note: the 72 inch length is specific to 4x4 models with standard transmission. This cable is NOT suitable for 6x6 models (WC62, WC63 have a different cable with part number CC926079). Check the original cable number on your vehicle: Type A uses CC595367/CC595368, Type B uses CC920402/CC595371.
Historical context
The Dodge WC series (Weapons Carrier) was produced from 1940 to 1945 and, together with the Willys MB/Ford GPW, formed the backbone of Allied military mobility during WWII. The WC 1/2 ton models (T214 series) were built from 1940 to 1942, followed by the heavier 3/4 ton versions which were produced until the end of the war.
