This 6V coil is ONLY suitable for vehicles with 6 volt installation. Dodge WC weapons carriers, open cab models and early closed cab models had standard 6V. Some later carryalls (WC-53), ambulances (WC-54) and wireless variants (WC-58) received 12V — use the 12 volt variant instead. Not suitable for 12V conversions without modifications.
