Application

For Dodge WC-series lorries with closed cab. This includes models such as WC-1, WC-5, WC-12, WC-14, WC-20, WC-40, WC-41, WC-43 from the 1/2 ton series (1941-1942), as well as later 3/4 ton and 1-1/2 ton 6x6 closed cab variants. Suitable for both 4x4 and 6x6 vehicles with closed cab configuration.

Installation notes

Attachment is to the cab structure and top of the windscreen. Check that all mounting points, clips and drip rails are present. For command cars and other closed cab variants, mounting details may differ — consult original fitting instructions for your specific model.

Compatibility

ONLY for closed cab models. NOT suitable for open cab weapons carriers (WC-51, WC-52, WC-62, WC-63 without cab). Command cars (WC-56, WC-57, WC-58) have their own specific cab top configuration. Check that your vehicle has a closed cab with folding windscreen (as on jeeps) — characteristic of WC closed cab lorries.

Historical context

The Dodge WC-series was produced from 1940 to 1945 and included both open and closed cab variants. Closed cab models were primarily deployed as utility lorries, ambulances, panel vans and command cars, with the canvas top providing protection from the elements.
