★ Complete seat cover kit for authentic restoration of early Dodge WC open cab lorries.
Application
These seat covers are designed for early Dodge WC-series ½-ton 4×4 lorries with open cab configuration, particularly models from the T207 and T211 production series (1940-1942). This includes WC-3, WC-4, WC-13, WC-21 and WC-22 open cab weapon carriers and command cars, amongst others. The covers attach to the original seat spring frames with clips.
Installation notes
Installation requires original seat frames and spring constructions. The covers attach with cushion clips to the edge of the spring frames. Installation is facilitated by lightly compressing the seat springs with a weight and temporarily securing the fabric with clothes pegs whilst fitting the clips. Do not use foam padding under these covers – they are designed for direct attachment to springs.
Compatibility
Suitable for open cab models of the early Dodge WC ½-ton series. NOT suitable for closed cab models (these have bench seating with different cover construction). Verify that your lorry has an open cab version with two separate seats before ordering. Later WC-51/WC-52 models (3/4-ton, post-1942) have different seat constructions.
Historical context
The early Dodge WC-series (1940-1942) was produced as a ½-ton 4×4 military lorry and marked the transition from civilian to fully military production. Canvas seat covers in Olive Drab were standard on most open cab versions, although leatherette and leather were also applied on early production examples.
