Fitting requires disassembly of the transfer case. The rail moves in guides in the casing and must move freely for smooth shifting. When fitting, check the poppet ball detents and springs that hold the rail in position. The shift fork is secured to the rail with a Bristol screw.

Specific for the single-speed transfer case of early Dodge WC models. NOT suitable for the later 2-speed NP200 transfer case as used in M37, M43 and later Power Wagons. Also not applicable to the WC62/WC63 6×6 models which had a different type of transfer case.
